Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about the Easter Treats I have just received today from my sister. I can’t wait to try the chocolate, but I’ll wait for my daughter to wake up and open the presents. I have noticed lately that my daughter tends to go to sleep very late and wakes up late too. Nothing else has changed, she is full of energy throughout the day and for now I am not too worried, but I am curious if other kids are experiencing the same behaviour? Like, comment & […]

Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about my daughter new favourite activity on Wii, Just Dance. My wife won this Wii at a raffle back in 2009 and until a few days ago was never used. One of the reason was because the power supply was 110V (United States) and when she tried to plug it into a 220V it started smelling burning. Even though was not working, I decided to bring it to UK a few years ago, planning on buying on 220V and bring it back to life. The lockdown […]
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about Dandelions, which have inundated my front lawn this spring. When development is complete, the mature seeds are attached to white, fluffy “parachutes” which easily detach from the seedhead and glide by wind, dispersing. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about “Our Little Ballerina” who seems to enjoy singing and dancing. One of her favourite songs at the moment is TONES AND I – DANCE MONKEY: Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about a busy bee against the blue sky, ready to land on a plant with yellow leaves. Recently, I’ve had the pleasure to look up at the sky and appreciate a perfectly blue sky and no chemtrails to be seen. Some believe that long-lasting condensation trails are “chemtrails” consisting of chemical or biological agents left in the sky by high-flying aircraft, sprayed for nefarious purposes undisclosed to the general public. I don’t believe Chemtrails are real, can’t wait to be convinced otherwise. Like, comment & share!

Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about our daily reading lesson during lockdown. My daughter likes to stop at this sign and read the letters one by one. Today was the second time when we stop by and she is already recognising ‘A’ and repeats after me the rest of the letters. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is a top down view on a bunch of tulips I saw in one of my neighbours garden. Interesting fact – the Semper Augustus tulip used to be the most expensive tulip sold during Holland’s Tulip Fever in the 17th century, about £4500 in today’s money. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about the Paschal Greeting, also known as the Easter Acclamation, an Easter custom among Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Eastern Catholic, Latin Catholic, and Anglican Christians. Romanians say: Hristos a Inviat! Christ has Risen in English. The response is: Adevarat a Inviat! – Indeed He has Risen! in English. Then we usually smash the eggs against each other and the last egg standing (uncracked) wins. In the picture above I lost because my eggshell cracked. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about the Orthodox Easter Preparations, we’ll celebrate tomorrow. We’ll paint the eggs mainly red and tomorrow each member of the family will pick one egg each, say an incantation then smash the boiled eggs on their heads. Whoever’s eggs remain intact wins. Then we’ll have a range of traditional sweet breads called Cozonac and Pasca. Main meal will consists of Tripe Soup (Ciorbă de Burtă) Stuffed Minced Meat Cabbage Rolls (Sarmale). Before the main dish we will have eggplant salad spread on toast. Traditionally, we normally […]

Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about the National Health Service in the United Kingdom – NHS. I took this image in front of my house with Slow Shutter app on Bulb on my iPhone 11 Pro and used my wife’s phone with the torch turned on to paint the letters. The semi circles above supposed to mean a rainbow. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about family and the importance of sticking together, hand in hand. The streets are empty. A few cars still to be seen on the road. Then silence again. The entire world is in lockdown. It’s surreal. This will go in history (digital) books and our grand children will look back at these moments and say: “When I grow up I want to be just like them! They use to defy death and risk their life by going out for walks up to 1 hour long per […]
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about having fun inside on a cloudy day by Playing with Play-Doh. Below are a few images of my daughter squeezing Play-Doh through the extruder tool. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is a about the Cherry Tree in front of my house which looks similar to the Tree of Life in the Celtic Culture. For the Ancient Celts, the Tree of Life was a symbol of balance, harmony, strength, a long life and wisdom. The tree also represents rebirth, as it will lose its leaves during the fall season, hibernate throughout the winter, and will be reborn again once spring arrives. Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about ”cleaning wounds” my daughter got from a scooter accident a few weeks ago. Initially, she cleaned her wounds with a wet tissue while sitting on the sofa, but didn’t feel was clean enough, so she climbed on the ladder, turn on the tap and with the same tissue started cleaning the wounds even more, by the kitchen sink. Then, she came back to the living room and dry herself out with a dry tissue. Now she is watching Trolls (The Movie) for the second time […]
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about the Supermarket Queue at Lidl today, while “forced” to go out to buy some groceries. Yes, people were keeping their distance and were very submissive with a sad look on their face. My only question is …what’s next? Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is a top down view on my wife laying on the grass with her hands pointing up and saying: Come Closer During the same session I took a 360 degree photo of Basildon Town Centre as seen from the Holly Trinity Church empty car park at sunset.
