FAQ about Wedding Photography

I have been shooting weddings since 1999. I used to shoot with a film camera, but today, in the digital era, I shoot with a digital camera.

All of your images will usually be online within 3 weeks, but there will be a sneak preview on my blog about a week after the wedding.

I am happy to do a few traditional groups, this will take 20 – 30 minutes depending on the size of the groups. Every wedding should reserve some time for the group shots.

Yes, please do, but don’t use them for commercial purposes without my consent (you can’t sell them), and if you’re sending them on to your hairdresser/magazines, just let me know to make sure the appropriate size and quality is delivered.

Yes, you will have an online gallery with a password which you can give out to your friends and family.

We use Canon DSLRs (mainly 5D Mk IIIs), and a range of L lenses (including 24-70mm f2.8, 700-200mm f2.8)

Yes, We are covered for Professional Indemnity and Public Liability.

No, I am a self-taught photography enthusiast.

Normally I work alone, but if you request a second shooter I can arrange that for you. I will be the ‘lead photographer’.

We are based in Basildon, but we are available for weddings all over Essex, Kent and Greater London. If your wedding is further than that we’ll charge extra for travel expenses.

No, we are quite happy to bring our own food and sneak off at the ideal times.

Yes! Although it’s a bit nerve-wracking chatting over the net, it’s a great alternative if you live in Italy!

At this stage, we don’t have any experience with aerial photography/videography to offer as a service. If you’re looking for an aerial photographer/videographer, check out our friends over at RMC AV LTD.

We usually require a 50% deposit to book me for the day with the remaining balance due 30 days prior to the wedding.

Great question! I’d say 70% of the way my photos look comes down to the way I edit my photos. Each photo receives basic colour correction, cropping, adjustment for lighting etc.

We do offer a Wedding Album & Digital Images package if interested, but you also have the option of a Digital Wedding package, if you wish to design and print your own album.
