What is HDCP? High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) is a form of digital copy protection developed by Intel Corporation in 2000, to prevent copying of digital audio & video content as it travels across DP (DisplayPort ), DVI (Digital Visual Interface), HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) connections. Some computers and tablets encrypt the video output by default as a general policy, even if the content to be displayed do not require HDCP encryption. The result is no video.
