Please enjoy a few images from the Christmas Photo Session which took place in our small home studio at Ozgo Productions. Season’s Greetings and Happy New Year from the Galatanu Family.
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about my new brown boots from Primark. These boots only cost £20 and look like the ones made of leather, but at this price, it’s very unlikely. Another clue is the lack of labels which mention the materials used during production. If will last me this winter, I am a happy chap. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about our Christmas decorations. I have to admit that out Christmas decorations are not as impressive as our neighbours, but I wanted something a little bit different and easy to setup and break down. On top, my little projector can be used for various other events, such as Halloween or Birthday Celebrations, to name a few. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is another practice product photography shot of a Nike Men Shoes against a black background. I have a few more favourite images from the same photo session which you can see below. Browsing through my photos, I found my first creative product photography I ever took, with a Zenith film camera, on the carpet, in my bedroom, more than 20 years ago. Old habits never dies I guess! These were my first Nike shoes and I really liked them. If anyone knows from where I can buy […]
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is a product shot of Elle Oil’s dvb, a small bottle filled with a “magic potion” which some say that it is the antidote for COVID-19. I have ordered this product on the 28 November and received it today, after 8 days directly from Romania. According to their website “ELLE OIL’S dvb is a solution that through its compounds has antiviral, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties based on high molecular weight essential oil extracts, obtained by biotechnological means without content of Genetically Modified Organisms and organic proteins.” CAUTION! INTENDED […]
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is a studio shot of a bunch of British salad cress on a black background. The benefit of using a macro lens is that you can get close, really close… Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about a little princess who visited our Ozgo Productions studio to celebrate her birthday with a photo session. I used a Canon 5D Mark 3 with a 70-200mm f/2.8L lens and a black background because she was wearing a yellow dress and I wanted the greatest contrast between the subject and the background. Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is a studio shot of a lemon with green mold on it. Please remember, if your bread, lemon, apple jam tomato sauce etc has any amount of mold on it, don’t just remove the mold layer and continue using that product, because a cancerous substances called aflatoxins already contaminated your food. Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is of a can of Heineken on a black background. This is my wife’s favourite lager beer, but not my favourite subject to photograph in my studio. Because of the shiny surface, it’s very easy to get reflections you don’t want. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about my first attempt at food carving. The image above should resemble an owl. I used two apples, and two raisin for eyes and a few toothpicks to bring the body parts together. Was fun. I will try different animals in the future. Like, comment & share!
Below are some of the images we took during the family photoshoot and except the 1-2 images the rest were taken by Diana, my 4 years old daughter.
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about one of those proud father moments when my daughter went behind the lens, directing and actually taking pictures of her friends. Usually, with any other activity her attention span is really short, a few minutes the most before she comes up with one of her lines: “I’m tired” Or “I’m bored”.Today after 30 minutes she was still going and I had to turn off the studio lights to signal that the photo session is over. Some of the images from this photoshoot can be seen […]
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is an image of a monster truck on a black background photographed with only one spotlight. To capture this image, I only used one spotlight to illuminate both the subject and the background at the same time. I placed the car on a mirror to get a nice reflection and then in Lightroom I cropped the image 1 x 1 (square) aspect ratio and adjusted the brightness slightly to make the car pop out a little bit. Below, is a behind the scenes image, in case you […]
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is of a sliced mango on a black background. Below are only some of the benefits of eating mango regularly: It helps in fighting cancer. Helps in lowering cholesterol level. Clears the skin. Great for diabetics. Helps in alkalising your body. Help in weight loss. An aphrodisiac fruit. Help improve vision. I’m sold, are you? Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about figuring figs out, by photographing them on a black background. Another product photography session @Ozgo Productions’ Studio featuring two figs on a black background. I like my job, especially when I have to eat my subjects. Below are two more images which I like from the same shoot. Like, comment & share!

Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about a white fan on a black background. I also took the same image with various flash power settings ranging from 1/64 to 1/4, using a shutter speed of 1/200 sec, an aperture of F8, and an ISO of 100. I wanted to see when the speedlight’s power would overpower the backlight/rim light. I created a quick animation with ezgif.com, which you can see below. Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about my daughter’s Panda Bear Plush Toy on a black background. This images started with a black background and a white surface made of polystyrene. I was intrigued by the contrast and challenged myself to capture a black and white object in this environment. If you look closely in the toy’s eyes you can see where I got the lighting setup idea. Three-point lighting setup In order to achieve this setup I needed 3 lights. I had the back light (Elinchrom D-lite 400 flash head with […]
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about Papaya fruit captured using a feature in my camera called Multiple Exposures. In case you haven’t noticed, in this image is only a half of papaya fruit on a black background, but as I mentioned above, on a Canon EOS 5D Mark III there is a built-in feature called “multiple exposures”. How to I used Multiple Exposures feature? In short, I enabled the multiple exposures feature, selected “additive” option with only 2 exposures (each exposure is added to the final image cumulatively) and rotated the […]
