10 Questions to Ask Your Wedding Videographer

If you’re looking for the perfect wedding videographer to capture your special day, then you’ll want to take the time to ask the right questions. After all, you’ll be trusting them to capture your most special memories, so it’s important to make sure you choose the right one. Here are 10 essential questions to ask your wedding videographer:

1. Do you have any previous wedding footage I can watch?

It’s always a good idea to see the work of your wedding videographer before you hire them. Ask to watch some previous wedding footage they’ve created to make sure it’s of a quality you’re happy with.

2. How long have you been in business?

You want to make sure that your wedding videographer is experienced and knowledgeable. Ask them how long they’ve been in business to get an idea of the level of experience they have.

We have been in the wedding business since 1999 and shot weddings in Europe, USA and Caribbean Islands.

3. Do you have insurance?

It’s important to make sure that your wedding videographer has insurance in case of any accidents or damages.

Yes, we do.

4. What packages do you offer?

Different wedding videographers offer different packages, so make sure you ask what packages they offer to get an idea of the services they provide and the cost.

We offer one basic package with lots of extras you can choose from.

5. Do you use any special equipment?

You’ll want to make sure that your wedding videographer has the right equipment to capture the quality of footage you’re looking for. Ask them what type of equipment they use and if they use any special techniques or technologies.

We employ the latest technologies to create stunning wedding films in gorgeous 4K resolution.

6. What is your editing process?

You’ll want to know how your wedding videographer will be editing the footage. Ask them what type of software they use, how long it takes, and what kind of edits they can do.

We use professional editing software and with years of editing experience under our belt we can deliver the final video before you come back from your honeymoon.

7. How many cameras will you use?

More cameras can mean more angles and a better overall video, so find out how many cameras your wedding videographer will be using.

We use at least 2 cameras, even more if required.

8. How many people will be on your team?

You’ll want to make sure that your wedding videographer has enough people to capture all the moments of your special day. Ask them how many people will be on their team and what each of their roles will be.

Usually I work alone, but if required I can hire a few extra cameramans.

9. Can I have a copy of the raw footage?

It’s a good idea to ask if you can have a copy of the raw footage in case you want to do any editing yourself.

For an extra charge we can provide you with the raw footage.

10. What is your cancellation policy?

Finally, you’ll want to make sure you understand the videographer’s cancellation policy in case you need to make any changes or cancel your booking.

Up to a month before the wedding the cancellation is free.

By asking your wedding videographer these questions, you’ll have a better understanding of the services they offer and whether or not they’re the right choice for you. Good luck and why not get in touch to discuss your requirements!
