137-2020 – Visit Southend on Sea
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about our visit to Southend on Sea shortly after the government lifted the lockdown restrictions.
It was a warm sunny day (17 degrees Celsius), perfect for a stroll on the widened promenade. A few shop were open, candy floss, donuts, ice cream even fish and chips.
Social distancing Security Staff were deployed to remind people to keep their distance.
Southend’s seafront promenade has been widened as part of moves to keep people safe and socially distant following the lockdown easing.
A few people preferred to sit on the beach and enjoy the view.
Everyone was enjoying their time in Southend on Sea, mask free.
I found a miniature castle and stopped to take a few images. This image I liked most.
The only place where people were queuing up for was the Public Toilets.
