Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about my daughter being covered with sand. So far the weather was spectacular. Not too hot, not too cold and the sea water was warm. These are the most important things for me when going to the seaside.
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, was taken by the pool, Hotel Felix, Eforie North. The first impression is good. The Hotel has been recently renovated and the water in the pool is clean. The sun is shining and can’t wait to dip my toes in the sea. I have a feeling that I might extend my stay! Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, captured sparks everywhere. In this image I was holding a chain while my neighbour was cutting the excess with the disc cutter. Now the swing is ready and guaranteed to hold up to 200kg. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about fixing the ATV, by inspecting the spark plug. Apparently, it is not a good idea to have the ATV not being used for long periods of time because impurities in the gasoline clog the system and the ATV won’t start. We also believe that the problem is the spark plug because the ATV starts when gasoline gets pushed in directly in the burning chamber, but as soon you stop it, won’t start again. If any of you has an idea how to get this going, […]
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about a traditional dish in Transilvania: Gulas Our neighbours invited us to join them for lunch and they cooked a wonderful Gulas with chicken and polenta. They made it in a crockpot hanging over a wooden fire. Delicious! The food was wonderful, but the homemade cognac topped it all. Smooth and aromatic. Like, comment & share!

Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about my neighbour hitting the nail in the head literally, while sitting on top of his future garage roof. In one day, two people managed to build a garage and a workshop enclosure. Cudos to them, impressive what skill people can do. Fair to say that a lot more work is required, but the main structure is up. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about the Circle of Fire. In order to achieve this image, I used a chain with a burning piece of wood at the other end and spin it for 60 seconds. I used the Slow shutter app on my iPhone 11 Pro and this is the end result. I have tried to use different illumination sources and settings and I got something like this… This small house was behind the circle of fire but it was very dark in the garden tonight. Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about my early birthday celebration. Tomorrow I’ll be 42 years old, but I feel younger than ever. Today we’ll start the celebration a bit early with a bottle of silver tequila “Patron” 100% de Agave – The perfect white spirit made from the finest Weber Blue Agave. Thank god these things don’t get spoiled, because it’s at least 5 years old. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about two chickens dust bathing in the garden. A chicken dust bath helps to remove excess oil, as well as external parasites like lice and mites. My mother-in-law has spread a handful of wood ash to create a dust bathing area for them to do the work themselves. When done bathing, the chicken will shake off any excess ash and dead parasites. As usual, I hope you’ve learned something. Like, comment & share!

Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about my first completed pallet bench garden furniture project. From start to finish the entire process took about 4 hours and the most time-consuming task was painting the pallets. Next, we will add a few pillows for extra comfort and rounding a few corners. For now, the bench found its place underneath a mulberry tree where my father-in-law used to sit. If anyone is interested, maybe I can make a short tutorial on how you can make your own pallet sofa.
