Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is another practice product photography shot of a Nike Men Shoes against a black background. I have a few more favourite images from the same photo session which you can see below. Browsing through my photos, I found my first creative product photography I ever took, with a Zenith film camera, on the carpet, in my bedroom, more than 20 years ago. Old habits never dies I guess! These were my first Nike shoes and I really liked them. If anyone knows from where I can buy […]

Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is a studio shot of a bunch of British salad cress on a black background. The benefit of using a macro lens is that you can get close, really close… Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about a little princess who visited our Ozgo Productions studio to celebrate her birthday with a photo session. I used a Canon 5D Mark 3 with a 70-200mm f/2.8L lens and a black background because she was wearing a yellow dress and I wanted the greatest contrast between the subject and the background. Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is of a red grapefruit on black background, shot in my studio @Ozgo Productions. Most doctors recommend eating Ruby Red grapefruit for the more potent antioxidants. The Ruby Red grapefruit has twenty-eight times more vitamin A than the original white grapefruit. Just like vitamin C, vitamin A works as a powerful antioxidant. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about falling stars in the fishing tank. Thanks to my daughter and wife, my two assistants who helped me complete this task. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about my first attempt at food carving. The image above should resemble an owl. I used two apples, and two raisin for eyes and a few toothpicks to bring the body parts together. Was fun. I will try different animals in the future. Like, comment & share!

Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about two bananas on a mirror in the Ozgo Productions studio. The setup was really simple, one flash head shooting through a snoot, about 45 degrees from the subject pointing down. The main benefit of using a snoot is controlling the light. It restricts the spread to a narrow beam, so that some areas of the frame are not lit at all. In our tabletop example, the bananas are highlighted and the background is totally black. Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is an image of a monster truck on a black background photographed with only one spotlight. To capture this image, I only used one spotlight to illuminate both the subject and the background at the same time. I placed the car on a mirror to get a nice reflection and then in Lightroom I cropped the image 1 x 1 (square) aspect ratio and adjusted the brightness slightly to make the car pop out a little bit. Below, is a behind the scenes image, in case you […]
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about figuring figs out, by photographing them on a black background. Another product photography session @Ozgo Productions’ Studio featuring two figs on a black background. I like my job, especially when I have to eat my subjects. Below are two more images which I like from the same shoot. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about a white fan on a black background. I also took the same image with various flash power settings ranging from 1/64 to 1/4, using a shutter speed of 1/200 sec, an aperture of F8, and an ISO of 100. I wanted to see when the speedlight’s power would overpower the backlight/rim light. I created a quick animation with ezgif.com, which you can see below. Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about a kiwi cut in half on a black background. In this shot, the key light is from a Elinchrom D-lite 400 flash head with a snoot positioned above and to the right of the fruit and triggered by a speedlight at 1/128 power. Like, comment & share!
