184-2020 – A Stubborn Bird

Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about a stubborn bird eating from one of the feeders.

A stubborn bird

I was fascinated by the perseverance and as always the reward is well deserved. The poor bird was standing on a tiny branch, just thick enough to hold its weight, plus was leaning forward and towards the bird feeder, hopping to find a treat inside the hanging pine cone.

I am not a specialist, but I believe this bird is called Magpie, from the Crows birds family, one of the many British Garden Birds protected by The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
