Basildon is Scary and I love it

One night a year Basildon is a really scary place…because everyone is ready for Halloween. Like in previous years Diana and me went for a stroll around the neighbourhood trick or treating. Happy Halloween everyone!

Colonialism and Climate Change Panel Discussion

Recently I photographed the panel discussion Craft Lecture: Colonialism and Climate Change at Bayes Business School. Their focus was on the links between Colonialism and Climate Change and how history impacts the world we live. The event was hosted by Malla Pratt, Director for Racial Equity and Inclusion, and introduced by, Professor Andre Spicer, Dean of Bayes Business School. The panel discussion was chaired by Dr Sujata Visaria. More infor about the event you can find here.

My Approach to Event Photography: Sustainable Growth Lecture

As an event photographer, I recently had the pleasure of covering the “Sustainable Growth” inaugural lecture by Bina Mehta MBE at Bayes Business School. Here’s an inside look at my approach to capturing this special event: Pre-Event Preparation Normally I would arrive early to scout the location, but since I was familiar with it, I checked it off the list. I did notice that the venue updated the lighting in the auditorium, so a few test shots were necessary to make sure the lighting is consistent or if external flash is required. Staff and technicians usually are happy to help. […]

New art installation outside Liverpool Street Station Elizabeth Line entrance

This new art installation erected outside Liverpool Street Station Elizabeth Line entrance makes me wonder – big and small stainless-steel balls on a string. What could it be?! I don’t know who the artist is or what he/she is trying to say with this, but considering that most of them are perverts, I’m guessing: ‘anal beads’. Feel free to come up with your own interpretation. Update 16/09/2024

Isabelle’s 6th Birthday Party at Stay and Play

Isabelle’s 6th birthday party was a total success. She dressed in a Wonder Woman costume. Everyone else dressed in their favourite costume too. My daughter has chosen Elsa. They danced and jumped up and down for hours. Thought-out the evening they met their favourite heroes: Mickey & Mini Mouse, Peppa Pig & George, Spider-Man & Baby Shark, and to top it all up Moana, Belle, Anna, Elsa and Rapunzel. The highlight of the evening was the foam party on their favourited tunes. To quote my daughter: “was the best party ever”! Tips for my fellow photographers I used a Canon […]

063-2020 – Teaching in progress

Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is one of the many images I’ve taken while teaching was in progress at CASS Executive Education, while supporting one of their programmes. I have chosen this image on purpose because of its focus on the lecturer’s hand holding a marker in the foreground and the blurred background, creating a layer of mistery and curiosity to the image. Like, comment & share!

Orange Pumpkin Dress – a Halloween Theme Photo Session

Halloween Theme Photo Session at Ozgo Productions with Diana dressed in an orange pumpkin dress playing with various orange objects. She started posing with a witch orange hat. Then she played with some tangerines, lining them up and throwing them in the air. Then she started playing with an orange telescope looking for the stars. She tried to connect an orange Lacie external hard drive to the iPad…unsuccessfully. She played with an orange Black & Decker drill machine, drilling imaginary holes in the air. Tried my Tissot watch with the orange wrist band. She organised documents in an orange plastic […]

Cass MSc Careers Fair 2014: Event photography

Check out some of the photos taken at The Cass MSc Careers Fair, at the etc. Venue at 200 Aldersgate, near St Pauls in London in 2014. It’s nice to see your work printed on 2015 Careers Fair Promotional book.

Theme birthday party photography

The 40th birthday welcomes you into the beautiful “middle age.” This age does not have the casual immaturity of the youth, nor does it have a constant dependency of old age. You can enjoy your 40th birthday in quiet reflection on the four decades of a beautiful life. It is time for you to enjoy the little moments rather than focus on bigger events. Kat decided to make it special and chose a Tarantino theme party and I did my best to capture the most precious moments for eternity.

Money Mavericks Event – the first Corporate Event Photography Gig

In march 2011, 4 months after I started my role as Audio Visual Support Specialist at Cass Business School, I had the opportunity to provide photography services for the book launch event of Money Mavericks: Confessions of a Hedge Fund Manager by Lars Kroijer  (Author) hosted in the main auditorium at Cass Business School. I used my Canon XTi camera and a sigma 70-300 mm, f3.5-5.6 and an ef-s 17-55mm, f2.8 Canon lens. After seeing these photos, the Cass events team lead by Debbie Durston decided to purchase a brand new Canon 5D Mark 2 and a EF 24-70mm, f 2.8 lens. […]
