Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is a close up on an unripe strawberry 🍓 Last year I’ve had the strawberries in a hanging basket, but this year I transplanted them in the garden. So far the transplant was successful, and can’t wait to try them when ripe. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about my kidney stones who woke me up at 4 am today and made me check into the hospital. After 3 hours of continuous pain, the stones finally came out and the pain suddenly stopped. The IV paracetamol they gave me had little or no effect in taking away the pain. To make sure, the doctor send me to do an MRI scan and confirmed the stones are out. At 8:40 am they sent me home, but before that the nurse removed my IV from my […]
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about the new addition to the garden, 20 tomato plants. It took me about two hours to dig and plant all 20 tomato plants. Each plant cost me £1 and I spent another £1.99 on Bamboo Stakes and £4.49 on Levington Tomorite, a tomato food ready to use. Like, comment & share!

Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about 2 pigeons resting on a birds feeder. I’m very impressed about the zoom capability of my phone. The birds were at the other end of the garden, about 10m away and the 10x zoom on my iPhone 11 Pro managed to bring them in the frame. In Lightroom mobile I cropped the already cropped image as 1×1 aspect ratio and still looks great. I understand that the image resolution is not the same, but for web use is more than enough. I forgot last time […]

Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about an angry bird resting on my garden’s fence. Feel free to name them in the comments below. Like, comment & share!
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about an unexpected visit from a local squirrel, interested in the goodies inside one of the bird feeders. This explains why the bird feeder is half empty after just few days. Like, comment & share!

This is the second part of the session I started last night when I photographed a strawberry floating in water. I started setup around 11pm so In the first session I only had time to shoot, edit and post the strawberry. Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is a recipe of Mushrooms and Chicken in White Sauce, called “Ciulama cu pui si ciuperci” in Romania. It might not look appealing but it taste divine. Coincidentally, I had some leftovers polenta from lunch, which works a treat with this recipe. I’ll try in a few words to explain how it’s done. I chopped the mushrooms, 2 small onions and put into a pan with sunflower cooking oil. At the same time, I boiled the chicken in another pot, with some vegetables (carrots, parsnip, onion, bay […]

Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about me sitting in a merry-go-round spinning until started seeing double. Luckily, my double vision is due to a custom setting on the Slow Shutter app on my iPhone, rather than me actually having problems with my eyesight. I did feel dizzy afterwards and a bit sick to my stomach, but I recovered shortly after. Like, comment & share!
