I am chuffed to bits to see my image of Costas on the back flap of a book cover: Purposeful Curiosity by Constantine Andriopoulos, PhD.

There’s so much more to explore than in a regular aquarium. We’ve had the privilege to really see what life is like in the coldest, darkest recesses of our seas, explore life around our shores, take a journey beneath the deep blue experiencing total tunnel vision, jump in their submarine and get up close and personal with all kinds of iconic fish.

After a change in venue, Wayne and Debbie finally got married on a beautiful summer day. I took about 2000 photographs, but only chosen 900 for the bride and groom. So many great moments. However, I am so excited to share a few photographs from this beautiful wedding at Stifford Hall Hotel in Thurrock. With everyone’s permission I even took some unique shot with my drone. Congratulations to the bride and groom and thank you for inviting me to take photographs of your special day!
Google Translate and Google assistant are very useful tools. So far I used Google translate on a few occasions to help me reverse the menu of a few monitors from Chinese to English or to read the Menu in a few restaurants in Turkey. The best part is that you don’t even need to know what language the text is written in. Just use Detect language feature. Numerous apps, websites and devices have the ability to translate between different languages. However, Google has two apps that can translate on iOS/iPadOS and Android smartphones if you ever need to interpret a […]
Since I not selling physical products I don’t waste my customer’s time filling out unnecessary information, so I am using Checkout Field Editor (Checkout Manager) for WooCommerce as my Woocommerce checkout field editor. I only request my customers’ First and Last Name and email addresses.
Here is a quick fix for the Woo Commerce error “This is not your download link. Go to shop”. In WordPress go to WooCommerce>Settings>Products>Downloadable products and under: Access restrictions untick “Downloads require login”.
Isabelle’s 6th birthday party was a total success. She dressed in a Wonder Woman costume. Everyone else dressed in their favourite costume too. My daughter has chosen Elsa. They danced and jumped up and down for hours. Thought-out the evening they met their favourite heroes: Mickey & Mini Mouse, Peppa Pig & George, Spider-Man & Baby Shark, and to top it all up Moana, Belle, Anna, Elsa and Rapunzel. The highlight of the evening was the foam party on their favourited tunes. To quote my daughter: “was the best party ever”! Tips for my fellow photographers I used a Canon […]

If you are interested in learning how to retouch and colorize in Adobe Photoshop 2022, find below a short tutorial explaining how to quickly do it. Without a doubt, my favorite new feature in Adobe Photoshop 2022 is one of the Neural Filter called Colorize. I used this filter with hundreds of black and white images and I am impressed. Bland and lifeless images suddenly come to life. With certain images the Colorize filter does a decent job from the start, but will look better if you spend a bit more time and fix any colour inaccuracies. Below are a […]
Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about a Romanian tradition called the Goat Dance. Capra is the name of a traditional Romanian dance, performed around New Year. It’s executed by a young man with a goat mask and a sheep skin on his back. The ‘goat’ and his companions go from house to house, dancing at each door on New Year’s Eve. This custom is first mentioned in Descriptio Moldaviae by Dimitrie Cantemir. FREE Digital Image Hungry for more beautiful images? Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about walking my mother-in-law to the final resting place to be with God – rest in peace Maria Buta. Less than 5 months ago, we said Adio to Ioan Buta her husband so to say we are devastated is an understatement. Thank you all for coming and for being next to us on these difficult moments. The sun and the birds even came out to say goodbye. FREE Digital Image Hungry for more beautiful images? Check out “A photo a day challenge 2020” gallery and download for […]

Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about the “Snowy Bob” the snowman ⛄️. When I asked my daughter what’s the snowman’s name she quickly responded: “Snowy Bob”. We used pebble for eyes, carrot for nose, two parsnips for mouth and two brooms for hands. Let’s hope tomorrow will be able to make a bigger snowman ⛄️. In this image the snow appears orange, because the street lights contain vapour of sodium and cast a orange hue in the presence of electricity. Below is the same image in which I used the eye […]
